Brief
This level was created as part of a four-day Game Jam project, in which I served as the sole level designer and environment artist. I was responsible for the entire level design process, from initial sketching and whitebox prototyping to final scene assembly and visual polish.
The level features a four-phase structure that guides players through progressively complex challenges, integrating puzzle and trap mechanics that align closely with the core gameplay and theme.
2D Level Design

I designed a kitchen-themed level where the player, as a small mouse, collects scattered ingredients and delivers them to a large pot at the center of the scene.
The level layout guides players from the outer edges inward, promoting gradual exploration and familiarity with the environment. Key design focuses include clear objectives, spatial clarity, and a smooth sense of progression, culminating in a final delivery at the central location.
3D Level Break Up
The first level focuses on familiarizing the player with the environment and introducing potential hazards through guided exploration.

The second section is a narrow, winding uphill path that raises the player’s perspective, allowing them to overlook the entire scene. This moment provides spatial awareness and reinforces the final objective visually.

The third section is a mostly linear downhill path that introduces new mechanics such as object pushing and bouncing. The difficulty increases slightly to keep the gameplay engaging and dynamic.

The fourth section combines previously introduced mechanics, creating a more complex sequence that requires players to apply jumping, obstacle avoidance, and other learned skills in an integrated challenge.

Completed Level
After the whitebox testing phase, I independently replaced and updated all scene assets to transform the level into a publicly playable experience. This included enhancing the visual presentation and adding a variety of interactive props that enriched player immersion without altering the core gameplay.
